This is a leaflet map I made to accompany an EdSource report called, “Raising Revenues Locally: Parcel Taxes in California School Districts 1983-2012.

It’s a challenge to map California school districts, mainly because there are three types (unified, elementary and high school districts), and both the elementary and high school districts overlap.

The map was mainly to show which school districts are benefiting from parcel tax revenue. The phenomena is mainly center around the Bay Area, where parcel taxes have been the most successful.
